Chatterbox is a b-side recorded by The Prayer Chain during the Shawl recording sessions. It was written during the Neverland Sessions era of the band. Distorted mixes of the song appeared on Live EP and So Close…Yet So Far. The band describes the song as a “happy misfit”. The original mix of the song only surfaced on the 25th anniversary re-issue of Shawl

Bassist Eric Campuzano says of the song “I love that song. The song is to my Dad… I wanted (to say) to him directly ‘you’re always a chatterbox but you’re never really listening and following through on anything.’ He’ll just take one position, and then he’s all for it… For such a fun easy song it’s a very heavy song for me.”
